Dean Bushala

Dean Bushala's career began in Chicago, directing documentaries and commercial campaigns that combined authentic storytelling with a passion for emerging camera technology. His ability to find the deeply personal story within every subject has taken him to six continents, earning multiple Emmy nominations, several Emmy Awards, and a reputation for creating films that connect with audiences around the world.

Over the past 35 years, Dean has directed projects for National Geographic, Disney, MTV, HBO, PBS, Discovery, History, HGTV, and many of the world's leading brands and nonprofit organizations. Whether filming in remote villages, disaster zones, or major cities, his approach has always been the same: find the human story, and let everything else follow.

  • Amy Murphy

    PRODUCER

    Amy Murphy Anderson is an award-winning producer and production executive with more than 20 years of experience in film, television, documentary, commercial, and branded content production. She has led projects from development through delivery for major studios, networks, agencies, and independent producers, with credits including Netflix, Disney+, Warner Bros., Discovery, CBS, Food Network, and Lionsgate. As a producer, Amy develops and oversees documentary and original content that blends cinematic storytelling with meaningful impact, including the feature documentary Shall Men Vote?. Known for her collaborative leadership, production expertise, and ability to navigate complex productions, she brings creative vision and operational excellence to every project at Red Branch Productions.

  • Darrell Craig Harris

    CREATIVE DIRECTOR, NEW MEDIA

    Darrell Craig Harris is a Las Vegas–based content creator, Sports Illustrated photographer and videographer, media personality, and professional musician whose work spans sports, entertainment, and digital media. As an NFL-credentialed photographer and videographer covering the Las Vegas Raiders, he has built a reputation for capturing compelling visual stories while producing engaging content across multiple platforms. His photography has been featured in USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, Men’s Journal, and Getty Images, reflecting his commitment to excellence in visual storytelling.

    Harris is the creator, host, and producer of the award-winning Music Matters with Darrell Craig Harris podcast, featuring conversations with some of the biggest names in music, entertainment, and sports for a global audience. Beyond podcasting, he continues to expand his influence as a respected content creator, journalist, and bassist with an accomplished performance career. In recognition of his professional achievements and contributions to media and the arts, he was recently selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in America.

  • Phoebe Brown

    PRODUCER

    Phoebe Brown is a documentary field and archival producer with over a decade of credits across National Geographic, Disney+, NBCUniversal/Peacock, ABC News, AMC/Sundance, Vice News, TLC, History Channel, and CNN. Her work spans true crime, investigative documentary, and character-driven unscripted — including Scott Peterson Speaks, United Gangs of America, Wild Crime, True Crime Story: It Couldn't Happen Here, and Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

    Phoebe's independent documentary work has screened at festivals worldwide. Her primary interest lies in championing underrepresented communities, particularly women and girls, and illuminating systemic inequities through honest storytelling. She holds an MFA in Digital Filmmaking from Georgia State University and is a Southern Producers Lab Fellow.

  • Matt Blatchley

    PRODUCER/DIRECTOR

    Matt Blatchely is a producer whose career spans commercial campaigns, unscripted television, and large-scale live event production. A longtime collaborator with Red Branch Productions, he has led campaigns for major brands including Disney, Heaven's Door Bourbon, Emergent BioSolutions, and Hell On Earth skincare, alongside television work with Disney, Discovery, and National Geographic — including two years documenting animal care inside Disney's theme parks for Disney+'s The Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom.

    Today, Matt is helping expand Red Branch Productions' presence in live events, coordinating, shooting, and producing broadcasts, corporate events, and expos across the U.S. alongside partners including Freeman, Fuse, Projection, and Cogent. He brings the discipline of broadcast television and the instincts of a seasoned producer to live production, turning complex shoots into seamless experiences for audiences in the room and watching around the world.

  • Ryan Van Ausdall

    CINEMATOGRAPHER

    Ryan Van Ausdall is a Director of Photography whose career has taken him around the world, capturing stories in television's most challenging and visually dynamic environments. His credits span major network and streaming productions, including The Amazing Race, where he designed specialty camera rigs internationally to capture complex stunts and extreme action, and Disney+'s The Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom, where he served as Director of Photography.

    Alongside his television career, Ryan has kept one foot firmly planted in feature documentaries, bringing the same technical expertise and cinematic eye to character-driven storytelling. He first teamed with filmmaker Dean Bushala on a documentary following author and former National Ambassador for Young People's Literature Jason Reynolds — a collaboration that grew into an ongoing creative partnership built on adventure, innovation, and striking imagery in unpredictable conditions.

  • Alexa Wells

    GRAPHIC DESIGNER

    Alexa Wells is a graphic and brand designer with over 14 years of experience helping storytellers translate their work into visually compelling brands. As founder and Creative Director of Very Sunny Day Studio, she has partnered with Red Branch to build the brand identity and website for their recent documentaries, Shall Men Vote? and Fractured, creating visual systems that bring each film's story to life and encourage audience support and donations.

    Alongside her documentary work, Alexa leads Very Sunny Day Studio's broader client roster, developing brand strategy, identity systems, and websites for small businesses, mission-driven organizations, and nonprofits. Her approach pairs strategic thinking with hands-on design craft, translating a story or mission into a cohesive visual identity that resonates with audiences and drives real engagement.
